		<description>Amazon S3 is a storage service. That said it&#039;s not directly related to streaming or video hosting.

Amazon EC2 on the other hand is a cloud &quot;hosting&quot; service, which allows you to borrow resources(servers) that you can use in many ways. Personally I feel that EC2 is not well suited for hosting. The reasons why I think this are:
1) It is designed to borrow not to hold resources. If you need to hold them it is inefficient both performance and price wise.
2) We&#039;ve tried and the network performance was not satisfactory probably because it has never been meant to be used in that way.

So EC2 is a great resource if your company needs to make a proof of concept or some sort of research for a limited amount of time and needs an easy way to dispose of the resources afterwards.</description>
